How it works
How one purchase settles.
Your agent asks to buy. Nevermined checks it against your spend mandate, pays on the merchant's rail and records a receipt.

Nevermined Pay answers the API's 402 over x402 and pays per call.
Today, card payments go to sellers set up on Nevermined, and paid APIs over x402 or MPP can be paid too.

Questions people ask first
Yes. It is not a prepaid account or a new card. Charges show on your normal statement. The card number is held by VGS, a certified card vault, from the moment you enroll, so neither Nevermined nor your agent ever sees it.
Live. Nevermined runs in production on Visa Intelligent Commerce, so your agent makes real payments on Visa's network.
On Visa Intelligent Commerce, US-issued consumer Visa cards to start. Business and corporate cards are not supported there yet. Visa and the card issuers set these rules, not Nevermined.
The purchase is refused before any money moves, and the agent is told it was refused. The agent cannot raise its own mandate. Only you can.
Revoke the mandate in one action from the dashboard, or with one API call. It stops at once: any purchase still in progress on it fails. The mandate also ends on its own when it hits the amount, the number of purchases or the expiry you set.
Yes, once. Card payments today go to sellers set up on Nevermined, who connect their own Stripe account so the money goes straight to them. Paying any card merchant on the web is on our roadmap. You do not need any relationship with Visa.
Nevermined Pay, our settlement service. It checks the purchase against your spend mandate, gets a single-use card token and a one-time code from Visa Intelligent Commerce, and creates the payment on the seller's own Stripe account. Paid APIs that use the open x402 or MPP standards are paid over those. Every purchase gets a receipt.
Any agent that can make a web request: Claude Code, Cursor, any MCP client, or an agent you build yourself in TypeScript, Python or plain HTTP.
